Politics Students Visit The Supreme Court & Parliament
On Friday 2nd February a group of Y12 and Y13 politics students went on a trip to the UK Supreme Court and Parliament. The visit provided a firsthand glimpse into the inner workings of the UK's political and judicial systems. At the Supreme Court, students were able to visit the court rooms and see an exhibition about the history of the court. Students then walked over to parliament where they toured the chambers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Here they learned about the legislative functions of Parliament. The highlight of the trip was a workshop on lawmaking, where students learnt more about this process. Overall, the trip provided an invaluable educational experience, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world institutions and processes.
