Harris Clapham Mock Election Results
On the 2nd of May, whilst London was voting for a new Mayor, we were voting too. Elections were held to give students the experience of voting and learning about the candidates standing in the election. Many students got involved, with Mr Gresham explaining students through the process and reminding students who could vote to bring their photo ID with them to the real thing. The candidate's profiles were subject to rigorous analysis by some and discussions were had around why it is important to vote and have your voice heard. After votes were counted, Sadiq Khan took 35% of the vote, with the next nearest rival (Femy Amin) taking 16% of the vote.
