World Book Day 2024

Thursday 7th March was World Book Day and staff and students celebrated reading throughout the week. Classroom and office doors have been adorned with posters showcasing the favourite books of staff members. The range of titles and genres demonstrated the varied interests across the school from the thoughtprovoking and insightful ‘Notes on an Execution’ recommended by Ms Sandy, to the fantastical postapocalyptic ‘The Final Empire’ recommended by Mr Habing.

On World Book Day itself, staff and students swapped books at break and lunch, introducing themselves to new titles, authors, and genres (and of course, updating our bookshelves). There was a fantastic buzz in the room as everyone read blurbs and debated which book they’d take home.
